The second annual Brown Girl Outdoor World at Cabinscape weekend where community, relaxation, fun and nature are the order of the weekend is back!
That’s right! We have secured the Cabinscape Kawartha Property again for a weekend where you’ll be able to experience nature in the comfort of community, play in a pristine spring fed lake, hang out by the communal dock, hike, paddleboard and so much more!

We have secured the entire Quarry for the BGOW Community to sit back and enjoy each other’s company and WE can’t wait to celebrate YOU! The cabins, micro-cabins and glamping tents are located on a magnificent 230-acre property with access to a sparkling blue, spring-fed lake (the result of a former limestone quarry). This incredibly unique and otherworldly landscape is just 1.5 hours from Toronto. This epic location is home to five lakeside cabins, 5 micro-cabins in the meadows and six glamping tents located in the heart of the forest. With dreamy vistas, fields of wildflowers & a diverse forest teeming with wildlife, this property truly has it all!
Our 3-day, 2-night getaway weekend falls on the perfect weekend to celebrate the end of summer while also welcoming the beauty of fall.

Whether you consider this a hello to fall or bye-bye to summer, this weekend will be perfect for you! We will be welcoming the new fall season under a blanket of stars with great conversation, s’more making and belting out our favourite tunes together as a community.
ACCOMODATIONS
The Cabinscape properties are exceptionally clean, well-kept, neat, and comfortable. Each type of accommodation available is noted below:
Lakeside Cabins – 1 queen bed, 1 twin bed each, kitchenette & BBQ, firepit indoor shower + running water at each with prime access to the water and sunset views.
Micro cabins – 1 queen bed each (max 2 adults), kitchenette & BBQ, fire pit. Please note there is no running water however water is provided by Cabinscape. Bathrooms are located at the communal comfort station. There is full access to the lake and communal dock.
Glamping Tents – Come with their own fire pit & grill, outdoor twinkle lights, a picnic table, two Muskoka chairs and also has full access to the lake and communal dock.
MEALS
We want to make sure you have the best time possible while ensuring you get the full experience of the beautiful cabin properties! As such we are taking care of your Saturday breakfast and dinner needs. Breakfast kits will be provided for each cabin and tent, with a sunset dinner prepared by BGOW, followed by a sweet charcuterie and s’mores experience for Saturday evening’s hang out by the quarry.
You are responsible for your Friday’s dinner (we’ve tested pho as a Friday night cabin meal and we are in love). Saturday’s lunch (which can be purchased on our trip into town) and your breakfast prior to departure on Sunday. All, cabins are equipped with stoves, a barbeque, pots, pans, utensils and everything you need to make your best meals.
If you are in a tent, you can take the camp like approach, bringing pots and pans to make your breakfast or or pull up the communal barbeque by the quarry (you’ll still need your pots and pans).
ITINERARY
We love leaving a bit of mystery to our events. A detailed itinerary will be provided upon the first week of September that simply confirms you will be having fun!
TRANSPORATION
This Cabinscape property is only 1.5 hours from Toronto and while we won’t be providing transportation, a survey will be sent out for folks to determine whether you are needing carpooling or are able to offer space in your car.
