Changing the narrative through adventure, education, and advocacy.
BGOW in partnership with Black Women Golf are excited to invite you to join us for an “Intro to Golf” on June 23, 2024.
We believe in the numerous benefits of spending time outside and what better way to do it than with Community. This is the perfect opportunity for Black, Indigenous and racialized women and femme identifying folks to try your hand at golf in a friendly and supportive environment.
WHAT TO EXPECT
During this event, you will explore the fundamentals of golf, including grip, stance, swing mechanics, and the basic rules of the game. Our knowledgeable golf instructors, Lead by Amaya Athill, will be present to guide you through the process, offering valuable tips and insights to enhance your understanding and enjoyment of the sport.
Whether you are a complete beginner or have some previous experience, this event is designed to cater to racialized women of all skill levels. This will be a fantastic opportunity to unwind and enjoy the outdoors in community.
Please come dressed in comfortable attire suitable for outdoor activities, and don’t forget to bring your enthusiasm and a positive attitude. We will provide all the necessary golfing equipment, but please feel free to bring your own if you have your own.
